Aug. 12th, 2008 06:46 pmTo all the well-wisher out there: thank you. :)
I don't have Official Vet News yet, I've only spoken to receptionists so far. The first time, Lafayette hadn't even been TOUCHED yet. Just Prepped. God knows what they did to her -- they've had to partly shave her, I suppose, and that might have taken a while, but still.
The second time, however, they were able to tell me that she was out of surgery and recovering; the receptionist "overheard" the vets saying that they'd keep her for the night, but he wasn't entirely sure and so I am waiting for the phone call that will confirm that she's staying overnight. I don't really mind one way or another, really, as long as she recovers well.
So far, so good. *breathes*
I took the kids (many kids: my two, plus Third Child, plus Husband's Cousin) to the Royal Ontario Museum today and we went to the dinosaur section. In a corner, we saw the skull of a Giant Moose -- well, the skull was of a normal size, but with totally ENORMOUS antlers.
Third child: WOW!
rainette: Yeah. Makes wandering in the forest hard; the poor guy must have gotten stuck all the time.
Third child: I think this might explain the extinction of other species, as well. Imagine! Whenever his friends call him, "HEY! ARCHIE!" and he turns his head, WHOA!!! he must have sent all the other animals around flying!
rainette *giggles*
Third child: Dude. Picture him doing a commercial for Shampoo. "L'Oreal! Because you're worth it!" *Shakes head in perfect Dramatic Shampoo Commercial Style* "Hey, where did they all go? Yoooo-hoooo!"
Third Child cracks me up, even when he buys eight pounds of mini-marshmallows and expects me to carry them up the stairs for him.
