lalalala am off to the zoo!
We're meeting friends at the zoo in an hour! The zoo is probably the one place in Toronto this week where you can bring kids without fearing to see them 1) squished to death, 2) trampled on, 3) not anymore cos hey, they got lost! For such is March break in Toronto: everyone has one week off at the same time; parents are wary of snow-slush-cold and take the kids to indoor places, so indoor places are chock-a-block full.
Only this year, not everyone has March break at the same time: the Toronto school board can't count on their many fingers, it seems, and they got the week wrong (it's the third week in March, people! The third! Not the fourth!) The other three schoolboards (Catholic, French, French Catholic, yes, we do have 4 public schoolboards in Ontario), and the private schools all have March break this week.
The Toronto non-denominational schoolboard, however. Has it next week.
That means that Froglet (French Catholic) is now on March break. Tadpole (Playschool following the Toronto schoolboard) will be on March break next week. *headthunk*
On the other hand, because the schoolboard got it wrong, the families get cheap vacation weeks! (Cos the airlines? Got it right. So they upped their prices for this week, and next week is back to normal: a lot of people can this year afford to go places for March break, cos it's cheaper than usual. I can't help being happy for them, to say the truth. I hope they really enjoy it.)
While I am gone (to the zoo, yay!), I leave you with this question: as all men sometimes do, Husband bought himself a Toy (well, not really a toy, but you know what I mean).
Think rainette, think Husband and try to guess what he bought: first one to guess what it is gets a Special Rainette Chocolate Shipment.
:D

if you beg;) :DNope, that's not it, but good try. It's nothing that cool. The thing with Husband is, he does not mind being uncool. That is why I love him so much.

I skipped that particular gene, btw. We have one TV in the house- a 13-inch Magnavox with the most basic of cable coming into it (8 local stations, CBC and CTV). On the other hand, we have a DVD collection threatening to take over the kitchen. My wife, of all people, has requested a bigger television.

We have many DVDs too, but nothing that compares to your collection obviously, and most of it is Disney stuff (yes, well, kids, you know.)

We have two already, actually, one of which he recently bought from his office, as they were getting rid of desperately obsolete, two-year-old PCs *eyeroll*
He keeps updating them himself, you know, putting in new memory and stuff. They are pretty ugly, but inside they're state of the art. ;)

No, it's not a car, but there again, I am the one who goes for flashy-looking cars ;) He likes his car 1) powerful, 2) reliable, 3) safe, but he can't be bothered with elegant brands or flashy cars (we used to have a BMW, but only because he bought it from his uncle).
