Well, not quite yet, but I don't know how much more computer time I will get before we leave, since we have to do the laundry, pack, leave various keys to various friends and neighbours (with instructions regarding the cat), and then, on top of it, we have to try and make sense of that bloody monstrous tent of ours (i.e., check that all the pieces are there, and make sure we remember how to set it up), all WITHOUT INSTRUCTIONS, and trust me, the operating instructions for the tent are a lot more complicated than the operating instructions pertaining to the cat (open mouth/insert food/dispose of smelly waste).
For the instruction booklet that was provided when we bought the tent got heavily rained on last year, and once dry, stubbornly refused to ever be opened again. Ahahahahaha.
So, yeah.
We'll be back August 8th, if everything goes according to Husband's plan -- earlier if we get rained out like we did last year, or if I can't take it anymore and hop into a big patch of poison ivy to force them to take me home, but I wouldn't bet on it, especially since I still can't make the difference between poison ivy and common daisies *winks at![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
sir_gareth*. So unless it rains several days in a row, we'll stay On The Beach and lounge in the sun and hopefully read and then make a campfire in the evening (hmmmmm campfire. I love small, contained fires that you can cook on).
And I might as well have a few beers in the evening while relaxing by the fire, since it won't have any effect if I don't, alas, and my bladder will still insist on being emptied at two am as usual. I am a little worried about this, as Husband has just bought two, erm, dynamo-operated flashlights that give you light for 45 seconds before conking out and needing to be recharged by hand for 1 full minute (i.e. enough for the creepy local wildlife to crawl nearer and scare you out of your wits, ack ack ack).
Hokay, I have to get back to packing. *sighs deeply* Could everyone who hates packing please raise a hand? Yeah, I thought you might. If anyone of you enjoys that kind of occupation, however, please to come over and help us, cos we're not having any fun, and I suspect we're not very good at it, either.
I'll miss you guys! I'll see you in two weeks. *waves forlornly and is gone*
