la_rainetteThe problem with growing old is that your memory is no longer what it was. This morning I got an email from a company, letting me know that an order I’d completely forgotten about had just shipped. On one hand, what the fuck. Why do I forget everything, dammit.
On the other hand, SCORE! it’s already paid for and it’s all stuff I really wanted, and all of a sudden it feels like Christmas.

Date: 2017-09-12 10:02 pm (UTC)I'm looking forward to watching movies I've seen a thousand times and feeling like it's maybe only the fifth. Already can't remember most of my actual life (so many more important things) so that'll be no great loss.

Date: 2017-09-13 03:32 pm (UTC)Kickstarter is sometimes great for that too, because if it's something with a material thing at the end, there's such a delay between the purchase and receiving it that I often forget all about it. And then: surprise in my mailbox (or email)!
