Santa visited Tadpole's class today.

Tadpole: And then SANTA came!
rainette: Wow.
Tadpole: But mum?
rainette: Yes, dear?
Tadpole: Why did he bring me a pony when I said I wanted a rabbit?

Ah yes. Then we parents get to deal with the complicated questions.

Tadpole: Did he leave presents under our tree, too?
rainette: No, sweetie, it's not Chrismas yet.
Tadpole: Why did he come to my school then?

See what I mean?

Fortunately, we also get a few really easy ones.

Tadpole *stops dead in her tracks, opens huge eyes*: Mummy?
rainette: Yes, dear?
Tadpole: Do we have a chimney?
rainette: Yes, dear.
Tadpole: WHEW!

Whew indeed.

Froglet and Tadpole set up a Nature Museum and invited my mum and me to visit.

Froglet embarked inot complicated explanations about the wonders of nature:

Froglet: And you know what?
rainette: What?
Froglet: When turtles are born, the second they break their shells, they know exactly what they have to do!
rainette: And what is that?
Froglet *shrugs*: How should I know? Am I a turtle?

My kids really crack me up.
