(no subject)

Lo, I am back, and it all went well.

I thought I would be the only idiotic brave person to drive all the way from Toronto for this exam, but it appears I was wrong: I met two young Quebec girls who had come all the way from Montreal for that test, and two other people from Toronto (so I even had company on my way back: I gave the woman who'd come from Toronto on the Greyhound bus a lift). And that's just the people I actually interacted with (I have no idea where the others came from).

But it went well. :) Now all I can do is wait (and it's going to take some time).

In other news, it was our little neighbour's birthday yesterday, so we went and were invited to visit the Fire Station next door. It went thus:

Firendly firefighter: Hello, my name is Friendly Firefighter, and this is one of our fire trucks, and the alarm that just started blaring is telling me that now we have to go, sorry, goodbye.

And off they all went.

The kids were very impressed by the sirens, though. *g*

And then we went to the swimming pool.

And I used to think that having my kids comment on the size of my boobs in the dressing room was embarrassing. *facepalms*
