Apparently, the new craze in Tadpole's class is Star Wars. The Kindergarden kids all play Star Wars together. This, of course, is not deemed acceptable by the teachers, nonono: in our French school, wars are only allowed IN FRENCH, so it's La Guerre des Etoiles you're talking about, not Star Wars. And offing each other with laser sabers is perfectly OK, as long as you remember to call them Sabre Laser.
*eyes Tadpole, who has a transparent plastic bucket upside down on her head and is walking around in jerky steps, chanting: "I. Am. A. Robot. I. Am. A. Robot."*
OK, so I'm not so sure the All French message is making its way to this one's brain but she sure makes a very cute R2D2
ETA: I am in an astonishingly good mood today, maybe because it's SPRING AT LAST, so I've been walking around with a great biggoofy happy smile on my face, and it amuses me to note that there have been three types of reaction to that smile. People either:
- smiled back, cos hey, IT'S SPRINGTIME, BABY!
- stared at me in a slightly freaked out, "OMG she has to be nuts" way,
- stared at themselves in a "What? Did I stain my shirt? Did I step in dog poop? WHAT?" way.
My goal tomorrow is to make a few more people smile back, if I can.
Cos hey, it's spring, and it sure feels good.
