la_rainette: (Froglet onna bike)
Tadpole: Can I have a chocolate biscuit, please, mum?
rainette *is half asleep on the couch*: Mmp? OK, help yourself. They're on the dining-room table.
Froglet: Me too, please, mum?
rainette: go ahead.
Tadpole *bellows from the dining room* ONLY ONE, MUM?
rainette: You can have two.
Tadpole: AND FROGLET?
rainette: yes, Froglet too.
Froglet: 's OK, I want only one biscuit.
Tadpole: CAN I HAVE THREE?
rainette: no, two is enough.
Tadpole *comes back with two chocolate biscuits, one in each hand* Look, mum! I LISTENED to your WORDS. I did what you said.
rainette: good listening, baby.
Froglet: HEY! I listened too! Only I wanted one biscuit, not two, so I took only one, but I listened to your words, too. Don't say I didn't.
rainette: YES. OK. So you did. Can we now stop talking about chocolate biscuits, please?

Dude. I have no idea how these children manage to even be functional today. The Froglet had her ice show this weekend, i.e. the week was very busy (rehearsals on Tuesday and Thursday; first show Friday night, and two more shows yesterday), and it was wonderful fun, but OMG long!!! Both girls went to bed at 11 on Friday, and Froglet went to bed at 10:30 yesterday. Tadpole made it to the "Grand Finale" -- when we all throw flowers to the little ones, which is tremendous fun both for them and for us -- on the first evening, but conked out before the end yesterday evening and then complained louldly that the even hadn't taken place *rolls eyes*. I used my biggest vase to store all the flowers Froglet got -- cos hey, three shows, three bunches of flowers, plus one special order from a friend -- and she is very pleased and proud.

And then? they both managed to get up before 7 both yesterday and today.

And when I came down this morning, I was met by two bright-eyed and lively little girls. "What are we doing today, mum?" they asked.

Goodness.

Today, we sleep. Isn't that enough of a plan?

or we could have a lenghty and pointless conversation about chocolate biscuits.

Froglet: THERE! I gotcha! You're DEAD.
Tadpole: NO, I AM NOT! Mummy? Froglet says I'm dead.
rainette *is dozing in front of a kiddie show*: mmmmmpf?
Tadpole: Am I dead, mummy?
rainette: ...

Tadpole. JUST. LET. ME. SLEEP.

Please.

I was a dressing room volunteer yesterday, i.e. I had the honour of helping 24 excited little girls get ready for their three minutes on the ice, and I also got to, erm, try and keep them happy or at least occupied during the approximately 2 and a half hours they spent waiting around... Which explains why my only ambition today is to get a little REST

ETA: Tadpole: Princess! Princess! PRINCESS!!!
Froglet *most romantic voice* O my Prince, where are you?
Tadpole: RIGHT HERE, princess!

OMG this is so cute.
