MANY THANKS to [livejournal.com profile] seshat1, [livejournal.com profile] maple_clef and [livejournal.com profile] villainny for the pretty Christmas cards! *hugs you all* You're adorable people and you will get a card from me at some point!

EXTRA BIG THANKS to [livejournal.com profile] stress_kitten for the card and the books, yay! :D Also, I admire you completely for Being Ready In Time for Christmas. This is something I hope to achieve one day. Today is not that day, alas. You too will get a card at some point.

If I can manage to stop watching the Animaniacs for a few minutes in the days to come (thank you, thank you so much, [livejournal.com profile] strange_selkie and [livejournal.com profile] darthrami!!!!! I love you guys), I shall FINALLY write my cards. I have spent the past few weeks feeling horribly guilty for not having done my cards yet and planning to write them SOON, until I realized that I might as well give up on the hope of writing them before Christmas, so now I just feel guilty as all hell.

No, I haven't written a single one yet. Not even to my mum. Eh.

I'll feel better once I've sent them, which, you know: will happen in the course of next week. Next year I might just have "I hope you had a nice Christmas" printed on them, cos I never manage to send them out on time. C'est la vie. It's been a very busy time.

Tadpole: I want a reindeer for Christmas.
rainette and Husband *exchange horrified glances*
rainette: I think Santa needs them all to pull the sleigh?
Tadpole: 's OK. I don't want a big one, just a little one. I want a baby reindeer.
Husband: Can't. We already have a cat.

Tomorrow I am helping out at our local Children's Mass, where I shall direct a Choir of Angels, and we will sing a little Approximate Music to the congregation. It promises to be fun.

rainette: is Avril a soprano or an alto?
Froglet: she is a soprano.
rainette: but she's singing the alto part?
Froglet *disgusted* She's singing BOTH.

Aha. This explains why she sounds like she's trying to yoddle, then. *facepalms*

And now I leave you with this little Christmas piece: this was written and performed in the seventies (the clothes and haircuts are hilarious) and was a great hit in France, I kid you not.

I wish you all a very merry Christmas.
