HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Jan. 22nd, 2010 01:38 pmWhat? Traditionally, in France, you have until January 31st to present your wishes for the new year. Hey, I am EARLY. :D
I find this tradiction very practical: I need the full month of December to get ready for Christmas, even when I decide to only shop for the immediate family. Then, I need about 2 weeks after Christmas just to recover.
And I also like to give the new year a three-week-probation time, just in case. So far, January 2010 has been very busy, but also sort of okay for our family: Froglet and Tadpole had their first synchro skating competition, and earned a gold medal and a silver medal, respectively. And I got to tie a bunch of skates, which earned me the strongest, most calloused little fingers in the universe, and one very painful back. Heh. Can't win all the time, can you.
In general, I am slowly getting the hang of life again. I have books to tell you about, and stories about my children (Tadpole's visits to the local Tattoo Parlor, for instance :D), and pictures to show. I still have very little time for myself, but I get to share a lot of my time with people I genuinely like, so that balances out in the long run.
I wish you all a Very Happy Year 2010.
