Family Facepalm
Nov. 6th, 2010 04:39 pmYesterday evening, rainette and family are eating dinner.
Rainette *hears a loud crack* : WOW! That sounded like... a gunshot? Someone's exhaust? FIREWORKS?
Husband: what?
Rainette: didn't you hear that?
Froglet and Tadpole *shake their heads*
Husband: you're hearing voices, m'dear.
Rainette: not voices, BANGS. And I HEARD IT, alright. I am not making this up!
Froglet: OH WOW LOOK! FIREWORKS! SO PRETTY!
Rainette: AH. SEE? I WAS RIGHT! FIREWORKS! Wait, what? Fireworks?
Husband: we didn't hear anything. What tells me you were hearing these precise fireworks?
Rainette: oh shut up, Husband.
Froglet *dreamy voice*: wow, so pretty!
Rainette: why fireworks, exactly? I mean, this is silly, it's NOVEMBER and it's so cold outside, why fireworks? Who'd have fireworks on November fif.... *MAJOR FACEPALM*
Happy belated Guy Fawkes Day, dear British friends. I hope you had a lot of fun (and fireworks).
Froglet: I still don't get it. Fireworks? They celebrate because a guy tried to BLOW UP THE PARLIAMENT? Who does that?
It was a long, long evening, let me tell you.
