Jan. 8th, 2015 09:40 amI was planning to send you all a "happy new year, yay for 2015!" message, and then yesterday happened like a ton of bricks.
I don't know what to say - I'd like to say something meaningful but I am at a loss. I grew up with Cabu and Wolinski - Cabu's career as a cartoonist started on a children's program that I used to watch when I was a kid, Wolinksi drew erotic cartoons that my childhood friend Anais and I used to snicker over. Charlie Hebdo is a part of my personal life and history. Yesterday was a blurred mixture of WTF outrage, rage and pure grief. I still can't think of anything else today and I still don't know what to say or how to say it.
(And then my mother-in-law's spouse died yesterday as well. And I am just saying this because I need to say what follows: I love you guys, each and every one of you, even if we're currently not speaking for whatever reason. Sorry - I needed to say this today, for my own sake. <3)
