Froglet *is looking at the squirrels in the backyard*: Do squirrels reproduce, too?
rainette: yes.
Froglet: Oh.
rainette: ...
Froglet: So, does that mean that ALL animals reproduce?
rainette: why, yes. Uhuh.
Froglet: Oh.
rainette: ...
Froglet *frowns slightly*: so it's only the trees and the houses that don't reproduce, then.
rainette *blinks, startled by the mental image invoked by Froglet's comment: a grand mansion and a charming cottage affectionately holding doors and proudly watching over a gaggle of variously-sized garden sheds* Erm. No, trees do reproduce, with seeds. Houses don't reproduce at all.
Froglet: oh.
rainette: ...
Froglet: Mummy, can I have an apple?
rainette *cautiously*: why?
Froglet: So I can have the seeds and plant an apple-tree!

Of course. *sighs*

I can't tell which amuses me more--the sheer adorability of your daughter, or the gigglefit-inducingness of your mental image. (Holding doors! Variously-sized garden sheds! Hahahaha! *falls over*)

LOL! The idea of houses reproducing is lovely. I mean, there is a housing crisis, right? Actually, there probably isn't in Canada... you guys have more space than you can shake a stick at. But over here, we could do with a bit of architectural reproduction (as long as the buildings are romantic - much like your grand mansion and charming cottage)...

I'm not sure what it is, but squirrels (and indeed squirrles) seem to be taking over my f-list - [livejournal.com profile] chrysantza gave us 'squirrel pr0n' earlier. Thus, I'm having a go at random squirrel icon-making; you may end up with your own one too *g*

YAY SQUIRRLE ICON! *g*

We do have a housing crisis too *nods* There aren't enough houses on the market for all the people who would like to buy, really, so the prices have gone up considerably these past years.

Well. It looks like I will HAVE to watch firefly one day. *sheepish grin* cos I have utterly NO idea what you or the rest of my f-list are all talking about.

Growing beansprouts are fun! Erm, yeah. Don't mind me.

I'm trying to imagine what would happen if Malfoy Manor and The Burrow decided to run off and have litters of pure-blood houses. ROTFL.
