You're fired
No love,
Me.
Yeah, yeah. I know. But see, after finishing my report cards yesterday at approximately 11:18 pee em, I gave myself half an hour to quietly unwind in front of the TV, and then I went to bed.
Now, I am sure that all of you who have ever driven over a long distance in a slightly shorter time than is reasonable are familiar with this phenomenon: after a Really Long Drive, when you go to bed, your brain keeps on driving the car, and so everytime you start dozing off, you suddenly jump up with a startled "can't fall asleep at the wheel", even though you are effectively in bed.
So.
No sooner was I in bed yesterday-going-on-today, that I started grading non-existent papers and writing phantom report cards. I kid you not. This DEEPLY PAINFUL PROCESS lasted until 2:28 at least -- I know this because at 2:28 am exactly, the bedroom door flew open and a groggy but determined Tadpole made her way over to our bed, whacking me on the head with a stuffed animal in the process. *sighs*
I is very tired.
The girls have no homework this week though. I think I am even more pleased with this than they are. :D
