la_rainetteI am on social media a lot today because I hate to pack and I am procrastinating. (This surprises absolutely no-one who knows me a little.)
Oh yeah, btw, I am packing! We’re leaving tomorrow morning on a road trip. I wasn’t that enthusiastic about the concept, frankly, but two weeks ago Froglet broke down crying that she HAD to go somewhere for the holidays, she HAD to not-think about school for a while… and since she’s a high school senior, this may very well be our last opportunity to go on a road trip as a family of four, we’ve collectively decided to go for it.
We’re leaving tomorrow morning. We bought our Christmas present as a tribe this year: everyone knows what everyone else is getting, so we decided against wrapping stuff because it’s time consuming to wrap AND to unwrap (and also we all had school/work until last evening). Ideally we’d like to leave as early as we can tomorrow.
Christmas isn’t really my thing anyways, but spending time with my family definitely is. And this year it’s just the four of us - I shouldn’t be this pleased that my mother decided to not visit… but tbh I am, and again, this surprises absolutely no-one who knows me a little. It’s going to make everything so much easier.
I am, as usual, stressed out by the whole packing thing, but I am also quietly happy that we’re doing this, because I love roadtrips.
I will be posting photos, hopefully. :)
