ooooh, look, new friend! Hello, [livejournal.com profile] villainny *waves to Nny*. News on the Insane Cat front are fine. :D

News on the Tadpole Potty front are, well, interesting. New pattern are emerging.

1.- Tadpole wants to be wherever I am. She just grabs her potty and sits in front of me.
2.- And then I better not move, for she will follow, even if she is done: She'll grab the potty and hold it onto her bum while attempting to walk, thus leaking all over the floor.
3.- But I am not allowed to look. Should I look, she will scream and turn her head away.

So basically, if you see a tiny toddler sitting on a potty in front of a tall adult who appears to be counting the wholes in the ceiling, that's me and Tadpole. *sighs*

The other day, she finally did a number two: when finally allowed to look, I found her standing by the potty, with her panties around her ankles, holding her nightie tight around her middle, her bum in the air, crouching over the potty and raptly examining her production. Oh, good job! I enthused.

She beamed proudly and pointed to the camera: "Take a picture", she ordered. :D I, well, didn't. I called everyone so that they could congratulate her too, and gave her chocolate instead, and she was happy enough.

We went to the swimming pool yesterday: I took Froglet and Tadpole with me in a family-sized changing room. I got them ready first, so of course while I was changing they were impatiently fiddling with the door handle. "Girls!" I hissed, "wait! I'm not ready yet"

"Yes", Froglet bellowed back "Mom's still nekkid! Tadpole, stop! Mom doesn't want everyone to see her big boobs" :D

The way she said it, it sounded like I must be endowed like the notorious Lolo Ferrari (I once heard she couldn't travel by plane because her tremendous, missile-like implants could burst under the pressure. Talk about weapons of mass destruction). I saw at least one person outside who appeared to have been waiting curiously to see the prodigy I must be (am not, thank God).

And then Tadpole fell on her head, and got worked up, and vomited all over my back (not necessarily a bad sign, since she does vomit easily, but it got the nurse worried and she spent a moment examining her while I waited, shivering, in my vomit-covered bathing suit). Tadpole is fine, BTW.

Another ordinary day in the life of an ordinary mom. ;)

*has coffee-spewed-on-keyboard moment*

There's something to contemplate--with the wonders of digital photography and the Internet, strangers around the world could share in the triumph! Is this progress, or, er...not?

You have extremely interesting children. :)

*laughs* My first reaction when I read your comment was "there, finally ONE good reason to buy a digital camera": I could finally take pictures of ALL the funny/weird/EW things my girls like without feeling guilty about the poor lab guy being tempted to spork his eyes out (he knows me very well, since I am a mom, and thus take many pictures of my beautiful girls).

Yes, they're fun and inventive. :D And so are yours ;)

Get a camera phone: I get the absolute most wonderful pictures this way. I'm going to be a very batty and happy crazy-old-lady, laughing at my meriad pictures.

:D You know, I believe we're quite average. Kids in general are amazing - it's in the way they look at the world. Listening to their inventions is a treat.

Boobs and stuff

You don't know how ironic that statement turns out to be when translated into UK slang. A 'job' in common parlance is a 'number 2'. So in some parts of the UK you said "Oh, nice poo!" *grins*

notorious Lolo Ferrari
I recall a late-night UK TV show on Channel 4 in the mid-90s called Eurotrash hosted by Antoine de Caunes and John-Paul Gaultier that showed disgusting and bizarre European stuff, mostly sex-related. Lolo was one of their regulars... I know all about her and her mind-boggling girls. The show seems to still be running... but only hosted by Antoine now. If anyone is intrigued by the weapons of mass destruction then you may cautiously follow this work safe link to the site of the TV show (http://www.channel4.com/entertainment/tv/microsites/E/eurotrash/Rapido_trash/) and head for the not work safe Pin-up gallery. I'm sorry for indirectly posting (albeit quite arty) naked breasts in your journal Rainette... but they are more of a wonder than a perversion.

Mom doesn't want everyone to see her big boobs
This made me laugh very much.

Hah! I had no idea! :D Well, that is basically what it meant, really (I mmean, that is how Tadpole took it I'm sure).

Ooof. Arty? *shivers* You know, I remember seeing Antoine de Caunes on British television when I lived in Birmingham (1989 to 1991); the French were really fascinated with his show, if just for the raised eyebrow and slight smirk and emphasis each time he said the word "bit" (a bit this, a bit that...). Cos in French, bite (pronounced just the way he incompetently pronounces bit) means prick and he seemed to really enjoy being able to say that on TV without beeing beep'd away. :D

Would that have been his early years on BBC2 with a sort of Euro-music show called Rapido? Or was it merely the early years of Eurotrash before he was joined by John-Paul and his kilts? I can't quite place the timeline. Wasn't much of a fan of Rapido... but Eurotrash hit at the time of life when any form of nekkid woman on network TV after the pubs kicked out was good enough for me.

Arty?
Oh... yeah... the arty thing... What I meant by that was that it wasn't pronographic as such... it was just some exposed breasts (if one can even call them that). 'Arty' as in when comparing Playboy to Monster Tits magazine.

Or, exotic as in exotic dancer.

Anyway, when you have boobs that big it's probably easier to show them than to find garments to cover them properly. What was the name of that page-3 Sun girl who had a brief singing career sometime in the 80s? Samantha something, do you remember?

And yes, it was "Rap-rap-rapeeeeedooooo!" What I liked about it was the way Antoine spoke English, really: so fast, and with the most amazing accent. *giggles*

*chuckles at Rap-eeeeedo* Very impressive. Samantha Fox was the Page 3 girl you were trying to remember. She went on to try a career in signing, which was crowned by one hit named "Touch Me".
Things seemed to be looking up for her at this point..at least according to her official web site (http://www.samfox.com) bio:

During this time Sam toured the world, barely stopping for breath. Indeed, Samantha Fox made a terrific impact with her live act, selling out halls of up to 30,000 capacity across Canada and America and touring Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore and Korea. In Montreal she broke the box office record.
*laughs at the fact that she was the most popualr act to ever grace Montreal... your city!*

But even this short-lived non-breast-related stardom was short-lived, and her career sadly ended around the time she co-hosted the Brit Awards with Mick Fleetwood (http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/static/events/brit_awards/sammick.htm) in 1989. Since then she has tried to do some more singing, and write an autobiography. Seems she is about to release a new hard-dance album and a single was due to be released early this year. Not surprisingly, I never heard about it. But thanks for inducing the research.

Hmmm.... over use of 'short-lived' me thinks. But I made my point... her singing career was short-lived. Ok?
