In the classroom during lunch break.

rainette *is opening Big Box full of small surprises for the kids* Hey, TADPOLE! Come help me unpack this!
Tadpole *arrives a-running*
rainette: I just received the SURPRISES I ordered! You can pick one if you'd like.
Tadpole: YAY! THANK YOU! *rummages in box, pulls out fluffy rabbit toy* ... oh...
rainette: Oh my, Tadpole! A BUNNYRABBIT! Just for you!
Tadpole *hugs her bunnyrabbit and beams with Joy* YES! Now I have SIXTY*!
rainette: ...
Tadpole: I had fifty-nine, now I have one more, that's SIXTY! I have SIXTY bunnyrabbits.

The bunnyrabbits have taken over the world. Good God, I hope they stop breeding.

* Actually, she has 61 rabbits in her room. She doesn't count my stuffed rabbit toy, from when I was a child, because it isn't technically hers, it's just on loan from me. And yes, I do realise that it's a lot of rabbits. What can I do? She just really likes rabbits. :D

Huh, here's something I never learned. What is the French, please, for "bunnyrabbit"? I have lapin but not any diminutive derivatives.

(Always a fan of learning new things. I would have said I was on the weak side of fluent when I fetched up in Paris at age 20, and promptly failed to produce agrafeuse. Ancora imparo, dude. [g])

Sixty bunnies! :D

It's good she's keeping track, in case they rise up against you and you have to make sure you've "taken care" of them all. :D

There are worse things to have 60 of. Enjoy these times; they don't last forever.

Tell her to go to the University of Victoria when she grows up! From what I hear they have quite a few bunnies hopping around their campus.

Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAQMyU4-SYI) is a shaky video, there are tonnes to be found on YouTube under "uvic bunnies". :D

I collect Vintage Cabbage Patch Kids which is slightly lame given i'm 21 but well...I guess I never grew out of it.

All my soft toys from childhood are in a hammock hanging in my bedroom.

:D Bunnies and SHINY ROCKS. She collects both.

It's getting more and more difficult to find suitable names for the bunnies, though!

Oh goodness, yes, I know, and I am enjoying every minute! :D

It's only when we have to bag all the Not-Quite-Favourite-Stuffed toys in plastic bag (to avoid cross contamination by headlice) and that I RUN OUT OF PLASTIC BAGS that I sort of wonder if we don't spoil her a little bit... :D (Hey, I am fine with that. She's a lovely little girl and it makes her happy)

YOU'RE EVIL! :D

We still haven't told her that French people EAT rabbits. It may scar her for life! :D

I don't think Tadpole will ever grow out of collecting Stuffed bunnies, the way this is going, and I'm fine with it. :) As Plantmom said, there are worse things to collect.

Cabbage Patch Kids are perfectly lovely things to collect too! :D You should post pictures, I'll show them to the girls!

Ooh shiny rocks, eh?

That's why I can only name my most special giraffes. Just not enough names!

Haha, we have lots of bunnies and ducklings at my campus. I fear she would try to capture them!

At least we don't eat rabbits in Australia. Mostly because we infected them with a disease in order to try and kill them all and now we can't eat them but I don't think she needs to know that part :p
