Froglet's friend Shannon, who is nearly 3 months older than she is, lost her first tooth a few weeks ago.

They were roasting marshmallows in Algonquin park, when she suddenly exclaimed: "Ew! This one's got a twig in it!" and threw her marshmallow in the bushes. By the time they realized that the twig was actually a baby tooth, the marshmallow was gone.

So she drew a picture of the tooth, for the tooth fairy, and wrote on it: LST TOOF (lost tooth), and put it under her pillow, and the tooth fairy was quite satisfied. The tooth fairy went all the way to Algonquin Park, to Shannon's great delight and surprise, and to her parents' dismay (they hadn't quite expected they would have to answer that many questions on Tooth Fairy Transportation Methods).

I am making a mental note to check Froglet's mouth carefully everyday for loose teeth. I woudn't want to miss the big event. I mean, my cat broke 2 teeth and we never realized (the vet told us last time we took her. He suggests she get dental surgery. He also wants me to brush her teeth, but I have enough of 3 sets of teeth to brush twice a day, thank you very much.) Is there a tooth fairy for cats, I wonder? And what would the appropriate fairy reward be for a toothless cat?

When you start asking yourself these qestions, you're too bloody tired, is all I can tell.

Naptime? Yeah.

[livejournal.com profile] jumperkid has a toothless cat. It's very strange because she still bites you when she plays, but instead of biting it's more gumming. You come away somewhat sticky.
Oh and you'd give her canned food, of course. *grins*

:D I hope I can get her to accept canned food... She's always been an extremely fussy animal, and it took me years to find food she would truly like (and not just sniff, push about with her nose, and ignore altogether).

Tuna, though. Tuna gets her any time (to the point where for a while she would just amble over and meow whenever I opened a can, in the off hope there might be tuna in there).
