I woudn't usually post these (though I do them, ayuh! I just don't post them often.)
But hey,
terrylj: didn't I sing karaoke in your bar? Looks like you're singing in mine *g*, too.
In other news, Adorable Sam has broken his leg, wah! (I don't know how, I forgot to ask in the wave of OH MY GOD POOR LITTLE MITE HOW'S HE DOING? that followed.)
We went to Centerville, yesterday, for the Most Perfect Day of the season (no, really: sunny, yet cool enough, beautiful light and the first red leaves and perfect visibility - ah, the skyline seen from the Toronto Islands is breathtaking).
It's a pity that they are going to close down soon, when Tadpole has only just learned how to go on the little horses on the antique caroussel on her own - it's a very fast merry-go-round and the horses are ENORMOUS. ("Keep your feet firmly in the stirrups", what a joke! I mean, I am tall with an extra helping of leg, and I can't reach all the way down to the lower stirrups, so of course Tadpole's feet don't reach the stirrups at all.) She still has to readjust her position on the horse slightly when the centrifugal force grabs her by the center of gravity, but she's otherwise OK now.
Also, "when she shit hits the fan" shall now in our family be replaced with "when the barf hits the bumble-bee ride", the result is just as messy and smelly and air-bound. And yes, it did involve Tadpole, and the bumble-bee ride (which is, basically, a merry-go-round with flying bees, because hey, flying vomit has so much more momentum!) Well. At least she managed to not barf on her clothes. (OK, no more details, I swear. Use your imagination). Tadpole wasn't sick, BTW, she just throws up easily - she had a cold and coughed too hard, and up it came. Er.
Anyway, it was a grand, fun, spectacular outing. The girls had fun. *g* Oh, and i spleam, of course.

(I mean, it's supposed to be that deeply moving moment, and here I was lying on the floor, howling with laughter because Tadpole makes the exact same face when I refuse to give her candy).
