I am having my car serviced right now, and enjoying the new iMacs my car dealer provides for their clients, wheeee! It's a pretty little thing. I'd gladly stay here all day, with complementary coffee that I do not have to brew myself (bliss), a comfy chair and a pretty iMac.

But then, Tadpole of course is Not Happy, because the kiddie area is all gone. You can't please all the kids, I guess, and this time they went for the bigger ones: the ones who actually drive cars, which makes sense.

I wonder if I can take the iMac with me when I leave?

(PS: the icon is from the wonderful Nny. Nny, I wasn't able to use any of the lovely staircases, WAH! LJ complains that they Do Not Fit Its Requirements. But the Frog's fine :D )

ETA I cringe in terror every time a guy calls out a name and tells a client their car is done. Please let me stay here. and, and, and, OMG is it really a printer that I see in that corner? *is completely insane*

You are not crazy at all!

It's the same thing as staying in the hospital after I have babies: I love it there, and don't want to leave.

What other fun things did you do with the iMac? And how did you keep your little one occupied?

PS. Went to the french bakery last afternoon -- thought of you. The croissants? NotSoGood. I suspect that this bakery is not "french" at all.

Hee. Glad that's not just me. Honestly, who wouldn't want to stay at the hospital? They bring your food, they clean your room, they bathe the baby, they change the baby if all your support/family people suddenly have to leave for some reason; they even take the baby to the nursery at night so you can get some sleep, if you want. All you do is lie in the bed and snuggle the baby. Heaven!

:D Well. In France, they kept me until the babies started to put on weight, i.e. about 6 days. I was sick with Hospital food by then (less with the food than the times: Breakfast at 7:00 sharp, and dinner at 6:00. The cravings in the middle of the night, because you are nursing and therefore hungry all the time, they don't provide for. Husband had to bring all sorts of biscuits/chocolate to keep me happy. Well, at least, fed.) and glad to go home...

Oh, she got a colouring book and crayons, and I bought her blue chips (she cares less about the flavour of the chips than the colour of the bag; and that's because she is less interested in the chips than in Making A Mess). :D

See? You'll have to make them yourself. Come on, you know you can.

*giggles* I can't, either. But I can make croissants. See? YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE!

Imagine bringing homemade croissants to that fantastic Halloween party you're invited to!

iMac! :D ...are you a mac user?

Are you feeeeling better? I hope so...the whole world appears to be sick right now, I think a quarter of Ethan's preschool is out sick. (including him XD)

Actually, I am not. I let Husband decide on the hardware, and he thinks iMacs aren't evolutive enough for him (as in, they are not meant to be taken apart every few weeks, and refitted with better parts). So this iMac was the first one I ever approached.

As I told Husband, it has one huge advantage over our big PC: the cat wouldn't be able to sleep on the screen. (Not in itself a big problem, except the cat has to jump onto the desk first - there goes the paperwork - , then on the answerphone - there go all my messages - , THEN on the screen.)

Also, it is CUTE. Big PC isn't.

I am much better, thank you :D . Looks like it was a tiny bug after all. Give Ethan a big hug from me, poor kid. And I hope he doesn't contaminate the whole family! I

Macs, to me, are on the same level as HP...very very obsessed. And have you seen the new iMacs? They are the size of the monitor by 2 in thick, and that's all. G5 machines. o.O Might dissuade cat from pursuing this Path Of Destruction :D .

Glad you're feeling better! Ethan had a pretty bad fever, which was a bit scary because he was very unresponsive, but he's better now. He gave it to his little sister too, but she didn't have it as bad and it didn't extend to anyone else.

You do realize I have no idea what you're talking about, right? :D Actually, come to think of it, the iMac I played with might have been a new one. I really likesd it, that's for sure.

I'm glad the little ones are doing better!

hehe, that's what usually happens when someone so much as mentions a mac in my presence :D It would be awesome if it was a new one, they JUST came out. Did it look like a pixar lamp with a bendy neck and a round base, or kindof like an ipod with a little aluminium stand?

...if that made no sense, nevermind. Sorry for the geek-talk! XD

Pixar lamp with bendy neck, yup, that's the one. So, is it a new one, or an old uninteresting thing?

That's the one before this version, so the second newest. The machine is a G4, as opposed to the new G5 imacs, so it's less fast and powerful...plus the design is pretty different. Still a loverly mac though! :D (they all are, mon avis...)
