Cos this icon? expresses my feelings exactly. I am using it with [livejournal.com profile] _skye_'s permission, cos it was created just for her, by an amazingly talented friend of hers whom I would like to credit too, only skye's LJ is down and I don't remember his/her name. Wah. Will credit next time. ETA The talented friend is [livejournal.com profile] carneggy.

So. I am sitting here, waiting for files to arrive per email (I am supposed to do revision work on a translation that is due today), and whenever I look at my watch it gives me a nasty jolt, what, so late already? But, but, I am not available tonight from 3:00 pm onwards! I have to do this now! Wah!

Also, I am starting to think that choosing an amphibian screename was a tactical mistake.

The water was cut for a while yesterday it appears, and when I came back in the evening I had an interesting conversation with our very old plumbing.

rainette *opens tap a bit*
tap *sputters feebly*
rainette: Oh, come one. *opens wider*
tap *coughs pathetically*
rainette *opens all the way* I SAID: COME ON!
tap: ker-ker-ker-KERSPLASH!
rainette *gasps as is hit by a faceful of cold, brown water*: eeeep
Froglet and Tadpole *arrive at full speed, and giggle*
Froglet: Mom, you're all wet.

Well, yes. Like I hadn't noticed.

And then, this morning, as I was only half-awake, I tried to wash Tadpole's potty and got a bucketful of cold water dumped on my head before I actually realized that the shower/tap thingy was still set on shower (thank you, Husband, thank you very much indeed). That goes to show that cold water doesn't make you think any faster. It's not even recommended to wake you up, cos ack, crankiness galore.

If anyone looks for me, I'll be drying my hair.

*checks mail for one-hundredth time in the past half-hour* WAH! STILL NO FILE *sobs*

More than welcome: [livejournal.com profile] carneggy may be credited.

Cold water in the morning? Aaah! How awful!

(Hope it gets better)

Odd. I have a similar Fizzgig icon, though apparently I got it from someone named jf smo. Can't be a livejournal user, since there's a space in the name (if there were an underscore, I'd have put that in), so I don't know where I got it. Probably off some website/message board/something-or-other. Everybody loves Fizzgig! I use him and my Kermit "Argh!" icon interchangeably. :D

And I sympathise with your plumbing issues. They're doing construction next door to my apartment complex, and yesterday they had to cut the gas line, so we had no hot water for the entire day. Wah. It's the first time I've been glad to have an electric stove.

Oh, I love him! I mean, I nearly died laughing at this exact scene when I first saw the movie. And this is the Best Tantrum Icon evah!

Plumbing, wah. *shakes fist at great big bulldozer of doom*

He also makes the greatest puppy-dog face, complete with pathetic whimper. And I love the way he rolls around when he wants to get somewhere fast!

First thing I said after watching this movie, which I did in college when my horrified roommates found out I'd never seen it:
Roomies: So, what did you think?
Me: ...I want a Fizzgig.

After the revolution, people who leave the shower thingy up will be punished with horsewhippings, so put Husband on notice.

Ah! That sounds like a Good Plan, thank you but do I really have to wait until the revolution to put it in practice?
