Tadpole is giving me a hard times these days, and showing, basically, how incredibly persistent she can be.

Tadpole: Mommy, can I have candy?
rainette: not right now, sweetpea, it's dinner time soon
Tadpole: Mommy, can I have candy?
rainette: No, not now.
Tadpole: Mommy, can I have candy?
rainette: NO, Tadpole. Dinner first.
Tadpole: Mommy, can I have candy?
rainette *deep, booming, this-is-my-final-answer kind of voice* NO. NOT. RIGHT. NOW.
Tadpole *deep, booming, you-don't-impress-me-one-bit kind of voice* MOMMY. CAN. I. HAVE. CANDY?
rainette *blinks*
Tadpole *giggles*
rainette *stares*
Tadpole: Mommy, mommy, mommy! *holds out her arms*
rainette *bends down and hugs Tadpole*
Tadpole *hugs and kisses rainette*
rainette *melts*
Tadpole *very softly into rainette's ear* mommy?
rainette: yes, sweetpea?
Tadpole: CAN I HAVE CANDY NOW?

Ouch, my ear.
