There is a bilingual fire alarm in our new home.
If there is a fire, the alarm starts by blaring our ears out, and then it says in the cool, lovely We're-plummeting-down-and-there-are-only-seventeen-parachutes-for-ninety-nine-passengers-but-the-situation-is-entirely-under-control voice of a trained stewardess: Fire. Feu. Fire. Feu.
I find this prodigiously amusing. I truly am Canadian now.
In other news, I am sort of back, with A Moving Story to tell (well, moving, in the more muscle and less tears sense of the term), but I have lots of laundry to do first. Tadpole's pull-up overflowed tonight, and then she got lost on the way to our room (no, it's not far, but she has no sense of direction) and by the time she arrived to our bed she was in tears and puked all over our bed.
It's not the first time it happens, of course, but it's the first time in the new house, and it helps when you know where the cleans beddings are and don't have to search frantically through a heap of boxes to find them. *sighs*
Anyways: laundry time.
It's good to be back. :D

On a random and irrelevant note, the fire alarm has gone of twice so far at school today. It doesn't speak French. It doesn't speak at all. It simply SHREIKSandWAILSandmakes other annoying HIGHPITCHED-EARDRUMmurdering noises.
p.s. I am quite relieved that we don't plan on moving soon. Soon meaning before I'm off at college. Good luck with the UNpacking now! <33 *smooshes*
