Rent-A-Husband
Jan. 27th, 2005 07:45 amI saw this ad in the local paper: "Rent-A-Husband Home Improvement Services bla bla bla"
Rent a Husband? *puzzles* I'd rather have someone who knows what he's doing.
Well, Husband's actually pretty good, in his McGyver "let's do it with corks and chickenstring" way. But so many of my friends complain about their husband's complete lack of handyman abilities! Also, can you imagine the counterpart? "Rent-A-Wife Sewing Services, Alterations and Repairs". Ahahahahahaha. I can't even sew the kids' buttons back -- Husband is the needle champ in the family. And apparently he can knit, too, although he hasn't done is for awhile. But "Rent-A-Husband knitting and Sewing Ltd" sounds more interesting as a concept, don't you think?

And they don't just sew on buttons, they sew them on with love. :D

Date: 2005-01-27 07:39 am (UTC)We've even got a slogan now :D And the frilly apron would totally satisfy my Men-in-skirts kink (I keep trying to get Husband to wear a kilt, but he objects.)

Have you told Husband about Utilikilts? They aren't as gaudy as traditional kilts, but much more comfy :D I personally think they look silly, but then again, i haven't seen one in person.

Date: 2005-01-27 09:23 am (UTC)Recently one of our toilets had some trouble (tank wouldn't fill) and hubbie wanted to call a 24hr plumber. I insisted, it was a $9 part and I could talk him thru it. (see as I couldn't do it in my current state)
Hehe!

Date: 2005-01-28 11:39 am (UTC)He tightened a plastic screw/nut connection too tight and it busted (*sigh* men). So I had to go get different $3 part, and explain that it only needed to be slightly tighter then hand-tight. ;-)
