Mozartkugeln and Alzheimer's
Sep. 5th, 2004 01:44 pmHusband brought Mozartkugeln from Berlin (chocolate stuff - australienne, do you hear that? CHOCOLATE STUFF! Not quite German, actually, Austrian, rather, but really, really tasty).
Well, not quite from Berlin, either. The logic of air travel had him fly from Berlin to Toronto via Budapest (no, don't look at a map, it's geographically all wrong), and he found the Mozartkuglen in Budapest, at the duty free. (Lovely duty-free plastic bag, with "Duty free Budapest" written on one side, and an ENORMOUS salami pictured on the other.)
Yesterday evening, before going to bed, I put what was left of them in a safe place, so that the kids could not eat all of them in the morning and wipe their chocolatty fingers on the couch, you know, in case they got up before we did...
This morning, Husband asked me where they were.
And for the life of me, I cannot remember where I put them. I have absolutely no idea. I remember thinking I should hide them, and then my mind is a blank.
Any suggestion will be very welcome. Am nonplussed, myself.
ETA: Well, the girls found them. They suddenly resurfaced in (or rather on) Tadpole's hands and in (most definitely in) Froglet's mouth. We still have a few left... Mozartkugel, anyone? They're were good, and Selkie, they have a marzipan heart...
