Tooff count.
Jun. 25th, 2005 10:37 amI'm pleased to say that the tooff count is staying remarkably stable these days. Froglet lost one tooth and promptly swallowed it, to her dismay ("Do you think the tooth fairy will be able to find it?" "erm. This might be messy, sweetheart, butI'm sure she won't mind"), but a brand new front tooth made its shiny apparition a few days ago, and we're all very excited about it. It's not growing fast, though, and Froglet looks more and more like a tiny witch every day, with her one remaining front tooth planted sideways on her upper gum and surrounded by two gaping holes.
In other news, Tadpole is All Done with Preschool. She'll be hitting Kindergarden in September. Wow.
AND: we got A/C! Finally! We had to have the previous system replaced (ack, it's bloody expensive), but it's entirely worth it. Even though it cost me a moment of panic yesterday while the A/C guys were connecting the new system to the furnace in the furnace room.
Here I was, quietly satisfying a call of nature, when all of a sudden TWO UNKOWNN MALE VOICES started exchanging weather information right next to me. Needless to say, I jumped and looked around wildly, only to realize that they were down in the furnace rooom, and their voices were coming up from the ventilation point in the bathroom; no-one was actually watching me. But then of course, they must have had a similar feeling and wondered if I was peeing on their heads on purpose. o_O
I came out of the bathroom still slightly spooked, and told Husband my story. "That's nothing", he replied. "When I was peeing earlier on, they started drilling a hole through the outside wall. It is very hard to pee straight and aim reasonably when the whole building is shaking." *facepalm*
