Playing with ponies
Jul. 20th, 2005 09:15 amFroglet and Tadpole have been cooped up for the last few days, cos Tadpole is slightly sick. So they've been watching movies, starting with Shrek, and it has given them Ideas.
So yesterday afternoon they took their ponies (the bigger ones: PONIES ON WHEELS!!) and swords and played Knights and Princesses all over the house. When it comes to playing Damsel in Distress, Froglet proclames herself princess, and then she nominates Tadpole as Prince, or Dragon, according to whether she wants to be simply rescued ("My HERO!" she breathes and bats her lashes) or chased ("AAAARGH! DRAGON!"). Predictably, Tadpole likes being a dragon best. When you're Very Small and easily scared, being able to temporarily scare bigger people is always a thrill.
And then, this morning, I found the ponies tethered to the girls' tiny plastic chairs.
With dental floss.
*facepalm*

I hope Tadpole is better now :)
