LiveJournal, meet France.

France, meet LiveJournal.

You both lose at treating your customers/visitors fairly.

And re: LiveJournal and 6A, I feel just like the gargoyle in this picture:

That pretty much sums up my feelings for today.

I laughed at the L'Arc de Triomphe picture. Clearly I am a horrible person and should not be a med student, but I still laughed. Dogmatix is not amused. :D

Also, re LJ, are you setting up any accounts elsewhere? My paid account doesn't expire till May, so I plan to try and keep in touch with everyone no matter where they are even if it means juggling five different flists.

*nods* I have a GJ account and an IJ account, both as la_rainette. I would have taken a JF account too, only you can't get a free account unless you have an invite and I don't.

I also have a permanent account here *cries*. I bought it as a graduation present to myself. What a joke, eh? Anyways. I'm glad to know that you're planning to hold on to your flist *hugs*

I've friended you at both! Same username as here. And if I had a paid JF account, I'd request one for you. *clings*

I friended you back. :) We'll see what happens in the next months though, yeah?

Shall bop off and friend you now. I'm Ygrane at IJ and GJ too.

I concur.

P.S. I walked up those steps! There were many of them.

two hundred and seventy-something, to be exact! :D

What about you, Ally? Are you staying around? Do you have alternate journals set up elsewhere? *hugs you* I am keeping in touch with you, that much I know...

You had better! :) *hugs*

I'm really peeved at lj, especially with the whole burr68 or whomever who was mocking fandom. That is so unprofessional argh. If scribblit ends up being a good alternative, I may go there, but for the time being I'm staying... hoping for an apology or some sort of resolution. I'll always be on e-mail, though, and I'll be sure you know if I set up camp elsewhere. You too, hear?

Yes -- of course :) *hugs back* What is scribblit?

My main email now is amphibienne @ gmail.com. So far, I have set up alternate accounts on both InsaneJournal and GreatestJournal, and eh. We'll see...

[livejournal.com profile] twocorpses is creating scribblit - looks like an interesting alternative. As for IJ/GJ, I have backup journals just in case but am going to use the rest of my paid time before switching over, probably. Mostly just playing by ear... I'll put amphibienne in my address book! Adorable name. :)

:) Thank you. Yes, I have GJ and IJ (and now also JF, curtesy of McKay) as possible backups (la_rainette in all three), but all the pictures will be posted HERE. I am not sure how the altenate journaling sites are coping with the brutal increase in users, and they're probably not ready to invest in new servers just yet as hey, no one knows how long the crisis will last and where we'll be after this.

But do let me know when sribblit is ready and in beta and if you try it out, ok? :) *clings*

I've heard some real horror stories about France. I've been there, but I don't really remember much. What did they do?

*laughs and hugs* Nothing much -- and anyways, I am French and I can defend myself ;) (I had to Be Stern once or twice to make sure people wouldn't butt in line in front of us, but you know, it's just a question of being able to say loudly and in good French "THE LINEUP STARTS HERE". People then oblige because I am French and I know how to deal with that.)

It was just that door with the two stairs and the HANDICAPPED SIGN RIGHT NEXT TO IT that cracked me up: "this way to the elevator, mind the stairs. You're in a wheelchair? Woops, too bad." :D
