Jul. 16th, 2008 04:45 pm*grits teeth*
I am back from my first vacation, and I have just about enough time to get some laundry done before I hope onto a plane again. *pets poor neglected computer*
So I am hoping to be able to post some pictures at some point in August. Possibly even August 2008.
In the meanwhile, I will try to get used to my brand new *takes deep breath* reading glasses. That's right, I bought myself some reading glasses. There is something terribly painful about sitting in a lovely, cosy restaurant with sexy indirect lighting and being unable to read the dessert menu. (What?)
ANYWAYS. I bought myself reading glasses today and I am trying to get the hang of them. The trick is. you have to look through them when you read, and above them when you're talking to your Husband or trying to signal the waiter/waitress. I still tend to look through them all the time, and that makes the world go sideways and gives me bouts of motion sickness. Now that I am back home. Because I can't get motion sickness when I am in a car like everyone else, oh no, it happens to me only when I am driving a booth at the local restaurant.
In other news, I had a great time.
What are you guys up to these days?

Date: 2008-07-16 10:25 pm (UTC)Now I am off to France, on my own, for 10 days. We're still grieving, the lot of us, and we just, we need time to be together. I am meeting with my aunt (who is 80 and not quite well healthwise, so it's about time I spend some quality time with her), my nephews and possibly my niece (between her own travels: she is hoping to squeeze Alsace between Australia and Britanny :D), and my godfather's partner. I wasn't able to be at the funeral and I totally need this time with the family.
Husband just came home and said: "Nice glasses! I see that your correction is +1, very well, but now I think you can take the sticker off."
*facepalms*
