la_rainetteFroglet is home sick today, she woke up with a fever this morning so she’s staying in bed. She did, however, have a test in Chemistry today so she asked me to email her teacher.
Surely, I said, calling the school to say she was sick would be enough.
No, she replied, please please PLEASE email Monsieur personally as well. Please ask him to not give me the “Hell’s Gate” version of the test.
It turns out Monsieur Chemistry Teacher always makes two versions of every test: Heaven’s Gate and Hell’s Gate. Heaven’s Gate is the main version, it’s what you get when you show up on the day of the test.
If you imagine, however, that you can show up the next day and ace the test after pumping as much information about it from your friends who already took it - good luck. Because this is when you get the other version, Hell’s Gate, and knowing Monsieur, Hell’s Gate BURNS, baby.
I already loved Monsieur, who is a great chemistry teacher and an adorable literature nerd (his chemistry notes are filled with puns and little notes and fun to read even for people who hate chemistry), now I love him even more.
