Froglet: Why do you say the medication is good for my health? I'm always sick when you give it to me.

Well, yes, before I give it to you. Before. What about after, huh? Huh?

OK, you've got a point, it's yucky and maybe we should try and do without*.

*yucky makes Froglet cry and Tadpole vomit. QED.

I remember when I was six and was given the WORST MEDICINE IN THE WORLD for being sick--don't remember what it was or what was wrong with me. I thought if I diluted it that might help-- so I stirred the spoonful of medicine into the glass of water.... my granny tried to make me drink the whole glassful. It was impossible. One of my worst memories ever! I sneaked into the kitchen with it and poured it into her African violets, a dribble at a time, and they smelled horrible (to me) for days.

And the violets survived? OMG, yes, Froglet was given one really horrible medication, and I swear, I have NO IDEA how to make a child eat that. The pharmacist was clueless too (though he did tell me that he found that "very cruel: not only are the children sick but they have to eat THAT on top of it").

Otherwise -- I know at least one antibiotic that is SO GOOD that I used to lick the spoon clean once Froglet had taken it *sheepish grin*.
